The Marketplace
The Company believes that there are numerous applications for VFI Humic Acid®, but has chosen to target first the markets for influenza viruses in the United States, Asia, and Western Europe.
During an average year influenza affects 25 to 50 million people in the U.S., causes 20,000 to 40,000 deaths, and results in 300,000 hospitalizations. The consequent annual costs of influenza-related healthcare amount to about $15 billion.
